50% in denmark against euro switch some 50% of danes are against the country entering the euro zone, gallup survey results published by berlingske tidende show.

This is the highest percentage over 15 surveys. 41% of the respondents opted for entering the Eurozone, whereas 9% were undecided.

EUROMAG has already reported that last week in his Parliament address Lars Loekke Rasmussen, Prime Minister of Denmark, announced that it is time to revive the euro issue in the country. At the same time, the Government would not make this decision without the approval of Danish citizens, he said.

In 2000 the Danes were the first in the EU to reject the common European currency in a referendum: 53.2% were against at the time.
